I have found designing digitally offers far less restrictions.

Cheltenham Festival Digital Betting Guide

Digital can also work alongside a printed product, sometimes offering a way
into a new audience by presenting data to them in a more palatable format
than text and images. One project I worked on was a betting guide for the Cheltenham Festival.

 

This guide included a watered down version from the book but was
designed around ensuring punters could be presented with certain betting selections without having to read through pages of editorial to make an informed betting decision. This seasons' was released into the App Store 2 weeks prior to the event selling fort £9.99. Prior to The Festival it was the top grossing paid app within the sports category.

Digital Sales Aids Corporate Portfolios

I have produced numerous digital corporate presenters/catalogues and also
my own digital portfolio. I see this as a great way of communicating to a
global audience, I also believe it is easier to visualise and promote
sales of products and services.

 

These can be delivered nationally into the chosen app market or in-house
to a closed user-group. It allows sales executives to tailor their pitches to
individual clients and by incorporating simple navigation they deliver the
most pertinent information and skip elements that are not as relevant.

Digital Magazines

Student Racing was another project that had a printed magazine which was distributed to students across the country with the aim of introducing the next generation of racegoers to the Sport of Kings. I proposed a digital version that could reach various students from around the world by giving them a more immersive experience including video, audio, imagery and editorial with live links to various betting markets for tips etc.

 

The digital magazine was a success and increased readership by 10 times. It was also featured as a client showcase by Quark as one of the first users of their App Studio software and can be found here. Versions of the magazine can be also downloaded by trying the free app.
